East Durand table one. This table combined with Holly Sub table one will be connected by the High Wye. The radius of the High Wye comes out to 7'3" or 87 inches. Again, this is the only portion of Zone D that I have compressed slightly in interest of space.
Holly Subdivision table one is the other end of the High Wye. This table will taper the layout width from 30" on the depot end down to 18".
Once both ends were in place, I was able to draw the High Wye track center and dimensional data onto what would become the bottom of the table. I then laid out the waffle and built upward from there.
The High Wye table completed. This Wye track is on a raised fill for most of its length, so I lowered the top slightly and built the sub-roadbed up in layers.
East Durand is starting to take shape. All main line switches and sidings within the interlocking are #12's. All remaining switches are #10's
More of East Durand. Seen here is the point where the set out tracks collapse down into the mainlines to cross Threemile Creek. The tunnel siding to the left/south of the mains continues across Threemile as well. The Station Module combined with East Durand is 32 feet in length. The entire interlocking will also include West Durand which will be a 10 foot curve on the opposite end of this scene.
West Durand table one.
Doing a mock up of West Durand track and structures. The two buildings on the left are the old Simplicity Engineering Co. shops that were replaced with the new facility on the west side of Oak Street.
Looking good Jeff !!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mike. I have the final switches built. Once this hurricane weather passes I hope to be able to get it all outside for some pictures.
